Description
This is a two-storey attached shop with living accommodation, dating from the 18th century. The building is faced with colourwashed stucco and has a close-eaved roof covered with imitation slate. It forms a matching pair with number 11a High Street to the right. The building has a shared stone stack at the left end.
The front elevation has a four-window range. A single roof light is visible. The upper floor has two four-pane sash windows, while the ground floor is occupied by a 20th-century shop front. This features a central glazed door, with a plate glass shop window to the left and a two-light shop window to the right, all set within a surround of pilasters and console brackets. A leaded cornice sits atop the fascia, echoing the shopfront of number 9 to the left. The upper windows are set within stucco, eared surrounds. The original cement-grouted roof and the tiled shop front, noted in a previous listing, are no longer present.
