Description

No. 17 is a terraced house built around 1800, featuring painted roughcast and stucco with a slate roof and a rendered rubble stone stack at the eastern end. The house is three stories high and has a three-window range, with 20th-century plate glass windows set in thin architraves. The entrance door is located to the left and includes an overlight.

The property is enhanced by fine spearhead iron railings surrounding the area, which are complemented by a pair of square cast-iron piers adorned with Gothic panels and topped with pyramid caps. The gate matches the design of the railings.

Inside, there is an original dog-leg staircase with column newels and brackets at the ends of the treads. The ground floor room features an arched alcove at the western end.
