West Orielton Farmhouse

West Orielton Farmhouse is a mid-19th century building featuring whitewashed stucco and a slate roof, with rendered whitewashed end stacks. The north front is two stories high and has four windows, all with 8-pane sash designs. The first-floor windows have segmental heads, while the ground-floor windows have slightly cambered heads. There is a taller doorway located in the second bay, which includes a 6-panel door and a 3-pane overlight, with steps leading up to the entrance.

At the rear, there is a lower and earlier parallel range, possibly dating from the early 19th century, which has been rebuilt at the ends and was originally octagonal. This two-story section features a three-window front with 12-pane sashes, a central 6-panel door, and an overlight with lozenge glazing.

A long stair-light is located in the west end wall between the two ranges, with 8-pane sashes on the left side and 12-pane sashes on the right side on each floor. The earlier rear range is noted to have 6-panel doors, panelled shutters, and a plain staircase with square newels, as recorded in a 1970 listing.
