Description
Kilgetty Colliery Weighbridge Office is a single-storey building measuring 5 meters square, consisting of just one room. The walls are constructed of rubble with dressed stone quoins and are very slightly battered outwards. The building is situated on a platform that is two steps above the road at the front, built into the rock at the eastern end and elevated where the ground slopes down to the west. It has a gabled roof, which has been replaced with corrugated iron, and features a small brick chimney at the eastern end.
The front of the building includes one small nine-paned casement window and a plank door, both of which have had their joinery replaced. There is a blocked doorway at the rear and a blocked window on the eastern side. The western side has a wide fixed light window positioned at a low level. The original position of the weighbridge platform is no longer visible, and the surrounding pavings and falls have been significantly altered.
