Description

Anchorage is a small house dating from the 18th century. It features white-painted stucco and a slate close-eaved roof, with a small red brick stack on the left end. The house has two storeys and an arched doorway on the right, which is paired with the doorway of Periwinkle Cottage next door. There is a projecting stub wall between the two doorways. Each floor has a long 2-light casement window on the left side. The entrance includes a four-panelled door topped with a plain fanlight. The left end wall has a loft window, and at the left end, there is a short section of stuccoed wall with a ledged door that leads to a passageway between Anchorage and The Lantern.
