Description
Richmond House is a terraced house dating from the 20th century, featuring painted stucco and a slate valley roof that runs at right angles to the lane. It has a red brick stack on the higher gable to the right. The left gable has a short slope that descends to the side wall of the adjoining house. The building is two storeys tall with an attic and has a two-window range.
On the right gable, there is a large 12-pane sash window in the attic, alongside a modern large bay window that is triangular in shape. This bay window has 4-8-4-pane glazing in the main part and 4 panes in the narrow left return. Additionally, there is a ground floor 16-pane horned sash window, with a basement light located below it.
The entrance door is positioned to the left, roughly central to the facade. It is half-glazed and features a moulded stucco surround with a cornice. To the left of the door, there is a small 6-pane sash window on the ground floor and another on the first floor. There are also three smaller lights: one at the foot of the door in the basement, one at the extreme left of the ground floor, and one under the upper left roof slope.
