Description
Nos 1-4 The Stores is a row of maritime stores built from rubble stone with slate close-eaved roofs. The building consists of three sections. No 1, known as TS Tenby, is a three-storey structure with the top floor added in the 20th century. It has a four-window range, with the windows arranged in groups of three on the left and center, and one on the right. The windows are square 20th-century sash windows, featuring stone voussoirs on metal lintels and 20th-century cement sills. All windows are the same height but the left bay has narrower windows: those on the left are 9-pane, while the others are 12-pane. There is a door in the ground floor left bay, which has a blocked overlight, and the right end gable has a broad opening.
Nos 2 and 3 form a single-storey range that appears to be a 20th-century reconstruction, as the interior wall is made of blockwork. The front wall is slightly set forward from No 1 but is continuous with No 4. It features three square windows with 20th-century plastic glazing that imitates 12-pane sashes, and a pair of ledged doors located between the left and center windows, with red brick heads and concrete sills.
No 4, at the left end, is a three-storey building with an external stone stair on the gable end. It has four evenly spaced bays with tilting small-paned windows and brick heads. The upper floor has 9-pane windows, the first floor has 12-pane windows, and the ground floor features 12-pane windows in the two center bays. Slate sills are present throughout. The ground floor has broad double doors on the left and right, along with an inserted window on the extreme right that is not aligned. There is a left end stair leading to the first floor, which has wide doors with a 20th-century timber lintel, and a second-floor door to the left with a small window. The rear of the building has two blocked windows with red brick cambered heads on both the first and second floors.
