Description
7 Bridge Street is a group of three-storey buildings featuring simple classical fronts. Nos 7 to 9 have a cement render finish, while Bradford House has a scribed render. The buildings have hipped slate roofs and include two cement render chimney stacks, one brick chimney stack, and one rubble chimney stack. Nos 7 and 8 present a three-window front on the left, No 9 has a three-window front, and Bradford House has a one-window front. The majority of the windows are 12-pane sash windows that are recessed, with voussoir lintels and keystones, and there is a band course between the storeys on Nos 7 and 8. There is a modern shop front to the left, a 12-pane sash window on the ground floor to the left of No 9, and a later bay window to the right. Bradford House features a 4-pane sash window on the first floor. The entrance to No 9 is arched and includes a 5-pane fanlight and a later half-glazed door. Bradford House has a recessed modern door with a banded surround.
On the right side, there is a canted two-window section with an additional storey just above water level. To the left, there is a low two-storey building that is not of special interest. The group of buildings has group value.
