Description
Cambrian House is a village house with a white-painted rough-cast exterior and a slate roof featuring over-hanging eaves. It has yellow brick chimneys added in the late 19th century. The building is two stories high and has a three-window front facing west. The windows are 12-pane hornless sash types with slate sills, and there is a central six-panel door that has flush, bead-moulded panels and an overlight. A 20th-century gabled porch with a half-glazed door has been added to the front.
At the rear, there is a French window to the left and a central projecting stair gable with a stair-light. The northeast rear wing contains four-pane sash windows and a small 20th-century glazed porch with doors on the north side.
The interior features a four-room central plan. There is a round-arched hall arch with moulded responds and a central rear stair with a closed string and stick balusters. The panelled doors have bead-mouldings and original door furniture. The kitchen is located in the left front room and includes ceiling hooks. The rear area contains a dairy and pantry, while the rear wing has a large cellar.
