Description

This is a freestanding 19th-century milestone located on the A484 at Cenarth. Made of very weathered slate, it was once whitewashed. The milestone features a curved head, with the front face cut back for the upper inscription section, and the sides are horizontally reeded. It stands approximately 1 meter high, 0.35 meters wide, and 0.08 meters deep. The inscription reads "To Cardigan 6 Miles," with a benchmark located below.
