Description

Nos 1 and 2 Smiths Cottages are two attached houses made of rubble stone. The left house is double-fronted, while the right house is slightly smaller and has two bays, positioned on a slight incline. Both houses feature slate roofs with deep overhangs at the gable verges and stone chimneys on the left ends.

The windows consist of nine-pane sash windows on the upper floors and 12-pane sash windows on the lower floors, all without horns, and are adorned with stone voussoirs and slate sills. The left cottage has a central board door with an overlight, while the right cottage has a board door located in the right bay without an overlight. Both doors also feature similar stone voussoirs.

Adjacent to the right house is a small one-storey stone outbuilding that includes a single door and a twelve-pane fixed window.

The cottages are not available for inspection.
