Description
The Serpentine Cascade is an ornamental garden feature that dates from the 19th century. It consists of a broad serpentine channel that carries the Afon Geyron stream from the overflow of a lake down to a pool at a lower level. The channel has square-section dry-stone rubble sides, and the floor of the cascade is made of large, roughly-split slabs. After two curves, the water cascades into the lower pool over a low drop.
