Description
The Cascade at Leighton Hall is a Grade II listed structure consisting of a low wall built over a culvert that leads into a cascade, which then flows into the Serpentine Pond. It is constructed from coursed, rock-faced Cefn stone with ashlar dressings. The wall features a shallow pointed arch, which is bricked up on the inside, along with a plain band and a coping course above it. The wall is supported by low square end piers. The cascade itself is stone paved and includes low flanking walls that end at the pond's edge, where they are capped by octagonal piers with truncated conical tops.
