Description
Garden Cottage at Alltyrodyn is a 19th-century building constructed from rubble stone. It features two stories and has two windows on its façade, topped with a slate roof and two stone chimney stacks. The windows are 4-pane sashes. The cottage is positioned at right angles to a high rubble stone wall that surrounds an extensive garden. This garden is irregular and roughly triangular in shape, with a cambered-headed entry on the south side and a doorway on the west end leading to the ruins of a former orangery or summerhouse. There is a similar doorway on the north side that opens into a much larger rectangular garden, which has a doorway at its northern end leading into the workshop of Garden Cottage. Additionally, there is a slate-roofed lean-to against the wall, which extends north as a single-storey workshop with a stone end stack.
