Description

Parc-y-Pratt is a house dating from the 18th century, constructed of rubble stone with a slate roof and rendered stone end stacks. The main front has three windows across two floors. The windows are 12-pane hornless sashes set within cambered stone voussoirs and slate sills. A central 6-panel door is sheltered by a painted timber doorcase in a Regency style, featuring plain piers, a deep fascia, and a shelf hood supported by brackets. A basement door is located to the left of the main entrance.

The south end of the house has a slate-hung wall with an attic light, a first-floor window, a ground-floor window, and a door. A brick stack sits at the south-east corner. The north end wall is colourwashed stone and also contains an attic light, two blank first-floor windows, and two ground-floor windows with 12 panes. The rear wall is colourwashed and includes a tall, pointed traceried stair-light, one dormer window, and a rear wall stack.

A low, two-storey rear wing extends from the south-east, containing an east end stack and a two-window range. This wing has 6-pane sashes on the upper floor and a doorway with a casement window below.

Inside the main range, a rear east end features an inglenook fireplace. There are 6-panel doors and a plain staircase. The south end of the house contains a large fireplace with a timber lintel.
