Description

The Church Hall is a former school building, which includes a schoolhouse known as Ty'r Eglwys, listed separately. It is constructed from squared rubble stone and features steep slate roofs with crested ridge tiles. The large single-storey schoolroom faces southeast, while a two-storey house is attached at the rear. The schoolroom has a raised central chimney breast that transitions into a brick shaft with a cornice and a pair of truncated stacks. On either side of the schoolroom, there are two flat-headed three-light mullion and transom windows made of timber with cast-iron lattice glazing, stone voussoirs, and slate sills. One of the windows has been converted into a door. At each end of the building, there is a gabled porch that projects out, featuring a segmental-pointed opening with stone voussoirs. The left porch has a 20th-century door, while the right doorway has been infilled with a 20th-century window. The west gable end boasts a large four-light window with top lights and a narrow single light at the apex, while the east end is similar but has wavy bargeboards and a lean-to 20th-century addition. The rear of the building also has a 20th-century lean-to addition.

Inside, the plastered interior showcases a neo-medieval roof supported by six trusses on corbels. The trusses feature arched braces to the collar, with two queen posts overlapping the collar and flanking large arched braces that create a pointed arch under the upper collar. The second truss from the east has been partially infilled to accommodate a stage. There is a plain fireplace located in the center of the south wall. The southwest porch is currently in use, while the southeast porch has been altered to serve as a toilet.
