Description
7 Dolypandy is a single-storey miner's cottage constructed from rendered rubble stone, with the west end wall featuring exposed stone and concrete block repairs at the southwest corner. The east end is attached to No 8. The cottage has a slate close-eaved roof, with a chimney at the right end that is partly made of stone and has been extensively repaired in red brick.
On the front, there are two horned four-pane sash windows flanking a boarded door, both windows equipped with slate sills, and a slate doorstep. The interior has a two-room layout, with low beams in the main room, slate flags inside the doorway, and a west end fireplace fitted with a stove. The eastern room is very small and serves as an unheated sleeping area. There is no apparent loft in the cottage.
