Description

Broncastell is a house, dating from the 18th century, constructed with painted stucco and covered by a slate hipped roof with deep, bracketed eaves and rendered chimneys at each end. The house has a basement and two storeys, with a three-window front. The outer windows are tripartite, and the central windows are 12-pane sashes. The upper tripartite sashes have 4-8-4 panes and the lower ones are shallow canted bays with a 4-12-4 pane configuration. A central four-panel door, with two glazed panels, is set within a large, painted timber doorcase in a classical style, featuring Roman Doric columns, a frieze and a cornice. There are four deep slate steps leading up to the door. Below the tripartite windows are nine-pane cellar windows. The east and west end walls have blank windows on each floor, to the left and right of matching tripartite sashes above canted bays.
