Description

Wigwen Fach is a single-storey building constructed from whitewashed rubble stone, topped with a thatched roof covered by corrugated iron sheeting. It features a small brick chimney stack that is offset to the left. The layout consists of two rooms, with a byre located to the right.

The entrance has a deeply recessed ledged door on the left, next to the chimney stack, followed by a centrally placed 6-pane pivot window. To the right, there is another deeply recessed door leading to the byre, which also has a ledged door. There is a blocked door at the extreme right of the building. Timber lintels are present throughout, and cob is visible on the upper part of the byre's gable end and beneath the eaves of the front wall of the domestic section. The left gable end features rounded corners and cob beneath the gable eaves. The rear wall is partly made of cob and mostly of rubble stone, with one window on the right side that lights the southern end room.

The interior is reportedly not accessible and consists of a single unheated entrance room that is lit from the rear. The main room has a fireplace located on the southern wall, which is said to have a wicker fireplace hood.
