Description

The Little Chapel is an Edwardian building featuring a classical design with a pedimented front made of scribed stucco, complemented by end pilaster strips and a plinth. It has a corrugated roof. The central tall sash window is adorned with a lugged architrave and is flanked by panelled door entrances, each topped with cornices beneath circular windows. The right side of the building, which faces Castle Street, is constructed from whitewashed rubble and includes voussoirs to blocked segmental openings. This evidence suggests that it may have originally been built as a coach house for No 6 Laura Place, although it does not appear on the 1834 map.
