Description
The Bakehouse is a late 19th-century building. It has a two-storey, two-window facade of colourwashed brick, set upon a stone plinth. The roof is slate, with a red brick chimney stack at the right end and a modillion bracket cornice. The windows are tripartite horned sash windows with cills, each with a cambered voussoir head and keystone. At the extreme right end is a round arched entrance with voussoirs, a keystone, and a four-panel door with a fanlight. Beside this entrance is a shop front featuring panelled pilasters and a dentil band under the cornice, with two-light shop windows and a splayed central entrance incorporating double half-glazed doors. The right end of the building is rendered, while the left end is red brick.
