Description

Morris, Marshall and Poole is a three-storey building featuring a four-window front made of cement render. It has a plinth, a cill band on the first floor, and cills on the second floor, with quoins at the right-hand corner. The slate roof is adorned with paired modillion brackets at the eaves, and there is a modern flat roof dormer on the left side, along with a stock brick chimney stack on the right. The windows are small pane sash, primarily with nine and twelve panes; the third bay has paired windows, and the first-floor windows are topped with a broad, bracketed pediment, which is also repeated above the modern shop window.

There are similar bracket cornices over the entrances; No 31 features a modern glazed door with a rusticated border, while No 32 has a six-panel door. The former has a Victorian shop front with a panelled stair riser and paired sash windows. At the extreme right end, a round arch gated opening leads to a tunnel passage. To the left, there is a brick wall with a six-panel door, a sixteen-pane sash window, and another boarded door; to the right, there is a rubble wall. A boarded door at the end provides access to the rear yard, and there is a modern opening to the right leading into the yard of the adjoining property. The rear of No 32 is slate hung and features small pane sashes, while No 31 is overlapped at the rear by the Trewythen Arms Hotel.
