Description
36 Heol Maengwyn is a three-storey building constructed from coursed and dressed local stone, topped with a slate roof. It features boxed eaves and red and blue brick chimney stacks. The front has six windows, with an attic window in the gable above the center of the former terrace. Throughout the building, there are 12-pane sash windows with stone voussoirs. The modern shop fronts are located at Nos 32 and 34, with a splayed bay on the former. The entrance to No 36 includes a six-panel door with a traceried overlight, and it has a forecourt with contemporary spearhead railings, along with a foundry plate from JB Davies and Co.
The left gable is made of rubble, and the rear features some slate hanging and small pane sashes. There is a cross range at No 32 and a corrugated iron jetty at the second floor of No 36, which also has a monopitch outshut.
Inside No 36, there are arched openings leading to the hall, six-panel doors, and shaped tread ends on the dog-leg staircase.
