Description
Meas-y-Neuadd is a two-storey building with a rectangular plan and a projecting wing to the northwest. It features roughcast brickwork and steeply pitched hipped roofs with wide projecting eaves. The natural slate roof coverings were replaced with artificial slates in the 1960s. The entrance front faces east and has a three-window range with a central entrance. The entrance consists of paired double doors with stained glass in the lights, and there is a wide canopy over the segmentally arched centre, supported by attenuated brackets. The building has sixteen-paned sash windows, with narrower windows on either side of the entrance. The southeast front, which faces the town, features an asymmetrical shouldered stack that is slightly set forward, with tiled shoulders and upper offsets that are roofed. The brick and rendered stack has side vents and is coped with stone. At the back, there is a stair window with a stepped sill.
