Description
The Vicarage is a 19th-century building featuring a rendered and white-painted exterior, likely over masonry. It has an L-shaped rear wing constructed of white-painted brickwork and a slate roof. The structure consists of three bays and three storeys, arranged in a double pile plan, with an additional L-shaped rear wing. Gable chimney stacks are present, and the central bay is gabled and slightly set forward, framed by a full-height arch. The eaves are adorned with modillion detailing, and the timber barge boards feature open work and a timber finial.
The central entrance boasts a six-panelled door with an overlight, set within a pedimented doorcase. The entablature extends to both sides over canted bay windows, which contain 12-pane sash windows with four 1½ lights on each side. The first-floor windows are 12-pane flush framed sashes, while the second-floor windows are 6-pane sashes. On the southeast side, there are sash windows in the rear rooms, one on each floor. All windows are fitted with painted stone sills. The plinth is rendered over stone and painted. The rear wing includes a loft with a gable door on the southeast side, and the ground floor entrance, possibly to a former stable, features a chamfered brick arch.
Examination of the property was not possible at the time of inspection in October 1995.
