Description
The Skreen is a two-storey building with an L-shaped plan and additional service ranges to the west. The east side of the south wing features a two-storey porch, which is the older part of the structure. The building is constructed from coursed rubble blocks with quoins and has slate roofs, including three eaves dormers on the east range. The windows are arranged regularly, consisting of large 19th-century ovolo mullion windows with hoodmoulds. In the gable end of the south wing, earlier blocked windows with timber lintels are visible. The quoined chimney stacks include two with diagonally set paired flues.
Inside, there are notable 19th-century features such as a coffered and richly moulded plaster ceiling in the library, panelled doors and shutters, and a Jacobean style staircase. There is also a cellar beneath the south wing, which may be original.
