Description
Ynys Wye Farmhouse features an L-plan group of farmyard buildings, including a barn and a cowhouse. The barn has slit ventilators and two sets of boarded doors on both sides, with the rear doors being slightly lower. The right-hand doorway at the rear has an added boarded lean-to. Inside the barn, there are collared trusses with diagonal struts.
The cowhouse connects at the corner and includes boarded doors for muck and feed passages, along with a hay-loft above. The right-hand end of the cowhouse is lap-boarded and has an open-fronted cartshed. The gable end above the loft door is boarded, and access to the loft is provided by outside stone stairs. There is also a later attached monopitch range.
