Description

This is a former dairy building, part of Home Farm, dating to the 18th century. It is a detached, one-story building constructed of rubble with brick eaves. The roof is tiled and hipped, featuring cresting and a timber finial. The building's design includes an oval-plan structure facing the road, which originally housed the dairy. This section has sash windows with wooden shutters, set within ashlar surrounds. A wash-house is attached to the south side, featuring a rubble chimney stack and a lower tiled roof. The wash-house has oversailing eaves that form a wrap-around verandah, supported by timberwork. There are two small gabled doorways with decorative timberwork, leading to plain boarded doors. Inside the former dairy, the floor is diamond-tiled, and there are segmental slate shelves at each end.
