Description
Monfa is a two-storey corner house dating from the 19th century, featuring four windows facing High Street and a curved corner on the left side, with a single-window return elevation. The building is constructed of yellow brickwork, displaying a slight informal diapering effect due to the different textures of the headers and stretchers, arranged in Flemish Bond. The roof is slate and hipped on the left side, with two mid-chimneys made of similar brick.
Most of the windows on both fronts are 16-pane hornless sash windows, with the exception of one. These windows have deep, slightly wedge-shaped stone lintels and stone sills. One ground floor window has been replaced with uPVC. There are two doorways, one leading into the house and the other providing entry, each featuring a cased surround and a small rectangular overlight. Slate steps lead up to the left door.
