Description
Savoy Cottage is a terraced corner house located in a small yard, dating from the mid-19th century. It is constructed of yellow stock brick with red brick dressings, and features a stucco ground floor and a band at the first floor. The roof is slated with projecting eaves. The building stands three storeys high and has two windows on the main facade, with a one-window return facing Holly Bush Steps.
The entrance is recessed and includes a part-glazed door with an overlight. The windows have gauged red brick flat arches and recessed sashes. The entrance and ground floor window are adorned with vermiculated keystones and impost bands, while the first-floor windows also feature vermiculated keystones. The return side has a 19th-century shopfront with pilasters that support an entablature, a half-glazed panelled door with an overlight, and a window with six panes; this shop is now part of the house. The upper floors have tripartite sashes. The interior has not been inspected.
