Description
Rhiewport Cottage is an example of Arts and Crafts architecture, featuring roughcast render and a hipped plain tiled roof with a pronounced overhang and end wall stacks. The cottage is single-storeyed, with an attic space within the roof. It has a central entrance flanked by three-light casement windows, which are recessed beneath a verandah supported by openwork timber posts. The roof includes three dormers, which also have casement windows with two and three lights, featuring small panes. At the rear, the roof extends over kitchen and storage buildings on either side, with a deep recessed porch in the center that has a date inscribed on the timber bressumer spanning it. The roof is topped with a weather cock.
