Description
This is a small building representing an example of Arts and Crafts architecture. It likely dates to the early 20th century and is constructed with roughcast render over brick, featuring a battered, buttressed slate gable. The slate roof incorporates an axial brick stack with a moulded and stepped cap. The building has a two-room layout, with each room originally accessed via doorways set back within a recessed verandah on the right-hand side. The doors are embellished with decorative panelling. A casement window with two lights and small panes, fitted with pierced shutters and decorated with hearts below the eaves, is visible on the left side. A hipped gablet extends from the left-hand return, which is clad with tiles, and incorporates a tall window with three lights and small panes, with the central light projecting as an angled oriel. Casement windows with two lights and pierced shutters are also present in the rear elevation. Inside the main room, a wooden fireplace surround is inscribed with Shakespearean verse. Decorative wrought iron is used for the door and window furniture throughout the building.
