Description
Bryn Camlo is a 1½ storey house built of brick with a slate roof. It features a stone stack on the left and a brick stack to the right of the center. The left gable end is made of rubble stone. The original house includes a rebuilt main range with three windows. The entrance has a 6-panel door that is offset to the right of center. The windows are 16-pane horned sashes with cambered heads and yellow-brick sills, located under gablets in the upper storey. To the right is an early 19th-century cross wing, which also has 16-pane horned sashes on the gabled front. The side wall of this wing has a replacement door on the left. The rear windows have been replaced.
The layout of the house, featuring central stairs flanked by the main rooms, dates from the 19th century. However, the room on the right was originally the hall and retains a large original fireplace, although the original lintel has been concealed or removed, along with a single spine beam. The room on the left side has a brick segmental-headed fireplace.
