Description

19 and 20 Crescent Street are a pair of three-storey buildings with a cellar, located in Penygloddfa, Newtown. They feature a Flemish bond brick front and a gently pitched old slate roof with deep boarded eaves. A central brick chimney stack is present. The second floor of No 19 has a shallow eight-pane sash window, while No 20 has a later four-pane sash window. Both the first and ground floors have sixteen-pane sash windows, with stone lintels and sills and plain reveals. There are cellar openings below the windows. The buildings have plain doorcases with corniced brackets supporting gabled dripboards; No 19 retains its original six-panel door, while No 20 has a modern door. The rear elevation is slate hung and also features deep boarded eaves.
