Description
33 and 34 Crescent Street are three-storey, one-window houses located in Penygloddfa, Newtown. Number 33 was formerly a back-to-back house. The exterior features slate hung in diminishing courses up to the ground floor sill level, with English garden wall brick. The roof is gently pitched with old slate, plain oversailing eaves, and a brick lip at the verges. There are brick stacks present. The second-floor windows have two-light casements, with a further narrow window above a tunnel passage. The first and ground floor windows are fitted with 16-pane sash windows, featuring plain reveals and stone sills. There are cellar openings below the windows, and the doorways are offset to the left, with plain doorcases that have gabled hoods on brackets. The original door belongs to Number 33, while Number 34 retains its original door as well. To the left end, there is a round arched tunnel passage entry that leads to the former Crescent Court. The rear elevation has casement windows.
