Description
This is a chapel with an attached chapel house, likely dating to the 18th or 19th century, with substantial alterations in 1927 as indicated by a date plaque. The chapel is constructed with scribed cement render over stone, with the left gable end revealing the original stone. It has a slate roof with a central ventilator. The front of the chapel features a pair of tall, round-headed windows with small panes at its centre, flanked by smaller, round-headed sash windows at a higher level. A round-headed doorway with an overlight and panelled door sits below each of these. The rear of the chapel has three round-headed windows with small-pane sash glazing on the upper floor, and three similar square-headed windows on the ground floor. The attached chapel house is a two-storey structure of painted stone with a slate roof and a central chimney. It has twelve-pane horned sash windows on the upper floor and a central panelled door flanked by sash windows. The forecourt includes iron railings on a low stone wall, with gates leading to the chapel, the house, and a broader set of gates for access to the adjacent graveyard. The building is of group value, reflecting its contribution to the area's historical and architectural character. It was not available for internal inspection.
