Description
Neuadd is a two-storey building dating from a period not specified, featuring a single range with two later rear gabled wings positioned on either side of a centrally located lean-to section. The exterior is made of rubble walls with roughcast render and has a substantially raised roof line covered with slate, which includes roof lights. A large stone ridge stack is located to the left of centre, characterized by distinctive over-sailing courses and vertical ribbed detail, although it is partially obscured by the later roof. The building has an enclosed porch with modern doors and windows.
Inside, the layout follows a lobby-entry plan and includes large back-to-back open fireplaces. The fireplace in the eastern room has moulded stone jambs with a double ogee design and a moulded timber lintel. The interior features exposed beams with straight cut and scroll stops, two plain later staircases with boarded undersides and scratch moulded handrails, studwork partitions, and flagstone floors.
