Description
Brimford House is a three-storey building constructed of red brick in Flemish bond, topped with a hipped slate roof. It features a double pile plan with gable stacks on each range and has three bays. The central entrance is highlighted by a timber doorcase with fluted columns, turned capitals and bases, and a round step. The entablature above includes quatrefoils, and the entrance door is panelled with a Gothic fanlight. The windows are 12-paned sashes, with 9-paned sashes on the top floor, all featuring rubbed brick flat arches. The rear elevation is similar but has timber casement windows, with the centre bay being blind.
At the rear, there is a low stone wall with sandstone copings that returns on the north side. Inside, the dining room to the left of the central hall has an arched fireplace, and the window reveals are panelled.
