Description
Criggion Hall is a two-storey building with attics, constructed of red brick in Flemish and mixed bond, topped with a slate roof. The structure consists of three parallel blocks featuring four window bays each, with the northern block designed in a 17th-century lobby entry plan. The eastern elevation displays three rebuilt gables, a plat band, and an asymmetrical six-panelled door set in a heavy frame, positioned near the second gable. Above the entrance, there is a bracketed canopy. The ground floor fenestration was altered in the early 19th century, including one 24-pane sash window. The southern elevation has an earlier section that is slightly set forward and features sandstone quoining. Two projecting stacks are located on the western side.
Inside, there is a large entrance hall that leads to a former room, with a lateral stair on the left and a passage to the kitchen behind the main stack on the right. The staircase features 17th-century turned balusters, and there is a 17th-century shaped doorhead in the kitchen passage. The first floor contains two panelled and fielded doors, along with an additional small panelled door from the 17th century. The attic features lath and plaster partitions and a double purlin roof.
