Description
Llandrinio Bridge is a Grade I listed structure featuring three semicircular arches, with the center arch being higher to create a peaked cambered roadway that narrows to a width of 3.75 meters. The arches span 45 meters and have a plain inner ring, followed by a ring of raised and chamfered voussoirs. The piers are designed with triangular cutwaters that rise to a wide band, which continues upward as shallow pilasters. These pilasters are swept into attached ball finials. At the base of the parapet, there is a square band that develops into a cornice over the piers. The parapet consists of three courses with hog-backed coping and bears a roughly inscribed date of 1775 on one of the piers. The ends of the parapets are splayed out to form rectangular terminal piers.
