Description
The bridge at Cwm-mule is a three-span structure made of snecked red sandstone. It features two segmental arches over the River Mule, constructed with voussoirs. Between these arches is a triangular cutwater topped with stone coping, and there is a slight pilaster on the west side. The span over the railway is aligned slightly differently, facing north, and has a high round arch with voussoirs and a keystone. Large, rounded, but irregular buttresses are positioned between the two sections of the bridge. A string course runs along the grey stone parapet, which has a weathered coping. The bridge is notably long, with the parapet stepping up at intervals towards the east.
