Description
The cart shed range at Ty Mawr is a 19th-century structure featuring a four-bay cartshed with a granary above. It is built of stone rubble with tooled stone dressings and is partly limewashed, topped with a Welsh slate roof. The cartshed has four wide basket-arched bays supported by narrow piers and voussoirs. Above each bay, there is a boarded opening with a narrow sill. Stone steps lead up to a cambered arched doorway for the granary at the gable end, and there are additional openings at the rear at a higher level.
