Description

19 Bridge Street is an asymmetrical three-storey building, likely dating to the 18th century. The front facade is rendered with raised surrounds around the windows and entrance doorway. A cruciform tie bar extends at both second and first floor levels. The roof is slate-covered. The windows are horned sashes, with the second-floor windows being nearly square. The first floor has two sash windows with cambered heads. On the ground floor, to the left is a window similar to those on the first floor, and to the right is an entrance doorway with a raised surround, the door set back within an internal porch. A modern lean-to extension is present on the left side.

At the rear, a left-hand roof slope features a large gabled dormer. A large red brick square chimney is also visible. A cross wing is present with a timber-framed gable end facing northwest. This gable sweeps down over the first floor on the left, continuing beyond the buttressed and rendered southwest wall of the main building. The gable features scalloped barge-boards and a small-pane casement window to the attic; the first floor has a large round-headed small-pane window, and to the left, a smaller casement window. The ground floor of the cross wing has a broad three-light casement window and a door.
