Description
Sycharth is a 1½-storey, two-bay house that faces north towards a roadside garden, featuring a chimney-end gable that also faces the road. There is a two-bay rear wing that is oriented towards the road as well. The house is constructed from local shaley stone in an uncoursed style, topped with a graded random slate roof that has tile ridges. A large stone chimney at the end has a bulge for a bread oven on the side and a stack with distinctive 17th-century sunk panels on its broad faces. The rear wing has a stone end chimney with a brickwork stack. The original windows facing the garden and the road have been replaced with steel casements that include horizontal glazing bars. At the front, there are small pane, two-light dormer windows with iron casements. Additionally, there is a lean-to rear extension made of stone and slate, which features an exceptionally low pitch roof. The property has not been inspected.
