Description
The front railed screen and gate piers at Gwernyfed High School are set on a limestone dwarf wall that follows the slope of the ground. The railings consist of stanchions topped with curled finials and intermediate dog-rails. Central limestone ashlar piers feature a plinth and moulded cornice, supporting raised ball finials. The iron gates match the height of the railings and have a tightly curled upper section, with a central panel adorned with scrolls.
