Description

Barn aligned roughly E-W with cowhouse range at right angles to E, on S side. Barn is timber-framed, front and rear, partially clad in corrugated sheeting, with end walls in stone. Large opposed threshing doorways. Roof partially original stone slates, partially corrugated sheeting. Cowhouse range mainly stone with open front with jowelled posts. Roof and front covered in corrugated sheeting. Three bays face yard (further bay at N end incorporates junction with barn) central paired doors, wooden gates to outer bays.

Barn of 5 bays; roof trusses with tie-beams and raking struts. Threshing floor flanked by dwarf stone walls; posts and raking struts to cross-framing. Cowhouse has roof trusses with cambered tie-beams and raking struts, with complex (C19) diagonal truss at turn where range meets barn. Jowelled posts to front facing yard. Wooden feeding troughs and hay rack intact.
