Gelli Gethin Farmhouse

Gelli Gethin Farmhouse is an 18th-century farmhouse that includes a cowhouse and stable. The living space was likely expanded into the stable in the early 20th century, and a kitchen was added at the rear.

The building has a linear plan that combines the cowhouse, dwelling, and former stable. It is a single-storey structure with attics and a former granary above the stable. The walls are made of random rubble stone, which has been whitened for the domestic sections only, while the rear features corrugated iron cladding. The roof is covered with slate. The main living room has a gable chimney stack, and there is a short gable stack on the rear extension. The building includes four gabled dormers and timber windows, all dating from the early 20th century, along with one iron casement window in the inner room. There is a door leading to the former granary in the end gable. The cowhouse at the lower end features stable doors and ventilated openings.

Gelli Gethin Farmhouse is listed as a relatively unaltered example of a linear combined plan farmhouse and farm buildings, reflecting the development of the long house tradition.
