Description
This is a turnpike milestone located north of Marish Farm, likely dating from around 1830. It is made of limewashed sandstone and features a rounded top. The milestone has incised lettering that reads: "BRECON 9" and "BUILTH 13". At the top, there is a bronze pin and a cut arrow benchmark. This milestone is included as a surviving example of the management of public roads in the early 19th century.
