Description
Folly Farmhouse is a timber-framed building with a slate roof and a brick gable on the west side. It is one storey high with an attic and consists of three bays. The central living hall features an axial stack, and there is a parlour located at the rear in the northeast bay. The stack on the west gable is likely an addition, and there is a later hipped extension at the northeast end.
The framing consists of three panels high with corner braces supporting the main posts. There is a panelled door located in an open gabled porch that includes seats, positioned at the lower west end of the central bay. The building features iron lattice windows in the style of the early 19th century, characteristic of the Trelydan estate, along with gabled dormers. The east gable has raking struts.
The interior was not accessible during the inspection in October 1994.
