Description
Ford View, formerly known as the Old Bridge Inn, is an L-shaped, two-storey building that dates from the late 16th century to early 17th century. It features a timber-framed structure with a roughcast front that juts out over the ground floor, supported by curved brackets. The building has a slate roof and a rubble stack that rises in stages at the right gable end. The front has three windows, which are 19th-century sashes set in flush frames, with one tripartite window on the ground floor to the right. On either side of a modern entrance, there are matching splayed bays with bracket cornices.
The roughcast gable end faces the churchyard and is connected at right angles to an 18th-century rubble range. This section also has two storeys and two windows, featuring a stone slab roof, casements with horizontal glazing, and a boarded door in the lower link building.
